Where do I start?

Well once again I could probably sit down and write a novel if I really wanted to, but coming back to Canada with carpel tunnel syndrome isn't part of my plan right now so I am just going to 'blurb' through this weekends happening and you can read the headlines to see which ones you are interested in.

All you can drink, 20 000 won ($20)
Friday night was another night of too much drinking, this time at Cool Bar, a small but nice foreigners bar. Only problem with it is that it is so small chances are the only people that are in there are the people you went with. Anyhow spent the night gossiping and drinking, went back to a friend's, Jillian, house with a few people until 6am. Decided that when I woke up I probably would be pretty lazy for the day so the smart thing would be to exercise before going to sleep. Went home, changed into my gym clothes and hiked up the mountain...was a bit of a rough walk but I made it, was home by 8am and then crashed until noon. Spent the rest of the day lazing around.

I Think I Prefer Dinner Mints
Talaithia and I went to TGIF's for dinner Saturday night and had some American food. I never thought I would be so excited over chicken fingers and fries. Realized that I really have adapted to Korea when looking at the menu and thinking "$13 for a meal? That's craziness" (you can usually eat out in Korean restaurants for about five dollars). After dinner they brought us our bills and then when they brought change gave us each a paper bag with a mini loaf of bread in it. I thought it was weird but didn't really look at it until I got home and then realized it was a personal loaf of bread and two packets of syrup. I guess this was supposed to be dessert?

The Pub Crawl That Wasn't
One girl I know here was organizing a foreigner's pub crawl for Saturday night and it was full but I begged her on Tuesday to squeeze me into it as well because it was another chance to meet more people. She reluctantly gave in. I decided I drank too much the night before and needed a break from some of the people I know who were going on it and bailed out at the last minute. Guess she won't be squeezing me in next time, eh?

She'll Be Coming Around The Mountain
Woke up and climbed the mountain again this morning with Talaithia, who is convinced I am trying to kill her with the hike, but already she is better at it then she was last week. We got to the bottom of it where all the vegetable gardens and whatnot is and heard a ton of dogs barking behind a closed off fence. Turns out it might be a dog farm...as in let's fatten the dogs up so we can eat them kind of farm. So gross..so gross..have I mentioned there is a dog restaurant right around the corner from my house?

Work work work
This is the last week of intensives and then it is back to the easy life! I have about 100 report cards sitting on my desk that I have avoided all weekend but should be starting now instead of posting on here. They wouldn't be so bad except we write them every month and how much can you really say about a kid each month?? I seriously just want to write "please refer to last months comments" but somehow I don't think that will fly. Instead just might write the same comment on each card.

U'D hate to hear that back home, teachers are protesting or whatever they do to only have to write 2 reports a card a year, versus the 3 they do currently. looks like you took up teaching in the wrong country! how do the parents read your report cards, or do they get translated to korean by someone?
