Why can't work weeks go that fast?

Man it feels like I was just leaving work Friday night and now it is already time to head back to start the week all over again. Tomorrow will be day 8 of intensives - 12 more to go...

This weekend was pretty dull compared to the past few I've had. Friday night we went to the movies to see Pirates of the Caribbean 2, which was pretty decent, despite that I haven't seen the first one. It was Mike, Trey, myself, and some newbies, Talithia, Tracy and some guy whose name I can't remember. Talithia has actually been here just as long as I have but hadn't met anyone up until last week when she stumbled across the Beer Hunter. She is pretty cool, she is 26 and is from Windsor, originally she is from Jamaica, and wow if I thought I got a lot of stares being blonde, its not half as bad as the stares she gets. Stacy and what's his face are from Texas, so if you've been keeping count, that is 5 Texans that are now in my social group. At first it was kinda fun, but having a group of them together really makes me see the difference between Canadians and Americans. And am I ever glad to be Canadian! Don't get me wrong, they are great people, but as far as they are concerned everything that is done differently from the way it is done in the States is wrong.

After the movie we all headed back to our own places and had an early night, which was okay cause I was tired but I kinda miss the craziness of the past few weekends. Saturday I got up and walked to the far side of Daejeon in search of cayenne pepper and grade b maple syrup for a cleanse i want to try...no luck finding it... from there i jumped on a bus figuring it would take me to the other downtown, but instead it took me to an area which I had never been to... i figured if i rode the same bus back to the original point and then further in the opposite direction i would find where i was looking for... i didn't. Two hours and three buses later I made it downtown only to not find what I was looking for and get soaked in a sudden downpour. I ducked into a Starbucks for cover and had my first cup of brewed coffee in almost three months (can you believe I've been gone almost 3 months?!?!)....so good. I wandered around downtown a little longer and then hopped on a bus and came back to my neighbourhood.

Didn't do anything last night cause apparently I'm a big loser. (you know you all want to make comments on that one)

Today I got up and went back to Songcheam (the army base) with Mike and Talithia. I didn't really need anything but Mike was taking Talithia to get a phone and he can be a lot to handle one on one, so I figured I would save Talithia from a very long day of Mike. An hour into the trip and she was extremly grateful that I had come along, and we actually got to know each other pretty well and she seems like she is going to be a lot of fun to hang around.

I did buy two dvd's from the illegal movie stores - You, Me and Dupree and My Super Ex-Girlfriend - haven't watched them yet but hope they are entertaining.

Tonight I have two french assignments to complete and tomorrow I will have officially completed French Level 2 and 3. Woo Hoo!

Other than that right now I am trying to beat the heat as we are now into the hot season and I am really noticing the fact that I don't have an air conditioner. On the plus side though I am actually getting a nice tan and after a month of not seeing the sun, I don't wanna complain too much about the heat. But it is HOT!
