Steamed

Ah the weekend is here again. Intensives are over and I've been back to my normal schedule for a week now which is nice. It is especially nice now that I don't start until 1:30 so I actually get some stuff done during the day instead of putting everything off to the weekends.

I have made a decision not to write about the drunken debauchery that is my weekends anymore, unless something really good happens. By now we all know that the weekends come and I stay out all night. It was interesting and funny at first, now it is just normal, so I will stop boring you with it like it is some big new thing each weekend. I promise.

So I guess I have nothing to write about now....

*jokes*

I guess the best thing I did this week was tried out the jingjabong (I'm almost 100% sure that's not how it is spelt, but that is how it sounds). Jingjabong is kind of like a bathhouse, spa type place all rolled into one. So my friend Megan and I went on Wednesday at like 11 o'clock at night, we got there changed into these super sexy outfits that they supply (think one size fits all green, farmer style capree pants and washed out orange t-shirts). I know I know, you are thinking where can you buy these, but you will just have to come to Korea and experience here.

Anyhow we were there for the saunas, so we went downstairs to this massive room that had about 10 other rooms in it and each room was a personal hot sauna, or maybe it was just personal cause it was late and empty, it was really cool either way. Then we layed in there for about half an hour and then moved over to the cold sauna where we refreshed. We repeated this pattern like three times and it felt fantastic. So relaxing. We did not test out the hot baths and ginseng baths because that is a lot of random nakedness and we need to work up the courage for that, tho it looks just as relaxing.

The best part of this is that there is a really nice gym attached to the sauna - so much better than my gym. And each visit to the jingjabong is 5000 won ($5) but if you have a membership it is included. It is more expensive than my current gym but if I factor in the jinjabong and the niceness of the gym it is a much better deal. My membership is up this weekend so I think I will switch over and try and get into the habit of the jinjabong a few times a week.

Okay it is Saturday morning and I am contemplating a lazy day but also want to go off and explore on my own a little so I may or may not have a tale or two more by the end of the weekend.

Happy Labour Day!
